The host was very welcoming! I was able to stay in touch with them for any questions I needed. The space was directly in front of the lazy river and pool access. The space was clean, has a huge deck and grill.

We had a wonderful stay in condo S-L06, it was spacious and beautifully decorated. There was easy access to the pool/Lazy River, as well as just a short walk to enjoy the beach. We took full advantage of the fully stocked kitchen, which had everything needed to cook full meals on site, as well as a wonderful patio and grill area. The location of the condo made it easy to enjoy nearby restaurants, fun, and shopping. The check-in/out process was simple as we were given a check-in time and code. We are already planning another visit for next year.

We really debated between this unit ot something on gulf side. We decided the kids having access to the pool quickly this was worth a shot. We were not disappointed! Between the bunk room, second bedroom, dining area, living room, and then all the additional outside space.. this was a great unit. We did put in a maintenance request on the grill, and someone was out ASAP to swap the propane. We would definitely stay again.

Resort grounds were always clean and attractive, staff was outgoing and friendly through out the resort. Our unit was clean, well maintained and had everything you could ever need for a month or so stay. We were very impressed. Pools and hot tubs were great and loved the short walk across the pedestrian bridge to the ocean. Made for the best of both beach and resort adventures. The staff at Coastal Vibes was fantastic. When we had a question or needed something they came immediately and made sure we were happy! The talk around the pool was that Coastal Vibes was the favorite management company and I agree. The location of this condo is perfect! It allowed everyone to stay in the action, whether sitting outside or grilling on the deck. Comfortable beds (and I am picky!), everything we needed to cook at home, and nicely decorated.

We had a great time at this condo. It was clean and spacious, has a great location by the pool and hot tubs. The walk to the beach wasn't bad, the wagon was so helpful to transport our cooler, chairs (2 where in the unit) and beach umbrella (in unit as well). Owner very quickly responded to a maintenance issue. LOVED the large outdoor grill and seating for everyone! Had a coffee every morning on the patio. The only small things I wish were there were maybe a small cooler and some salt and pepper, even a few small single serving packets. There are jet ski rentals right next store, and Ricks has live music and good beach food ( the only place that had the coconut shrimp that I was craving!) right next store too. Walkable restaurants in the area. Very relaxing vacation!

The unit was perfect for our family of five. We loved being next to the lazy river and access to the pools. The short walk to the beach was made even easier with the beach cart and supplies. Our family enjoyed grilling out multiple nights and hanging out at the end of a great day. The place was well maintained and they had even added a great table out on the patio that wasn't in the original pictures. We would definitely stay in this unit again in the future!

We had a great stay here. It was a nice and clean space. The kitchen had all the cookware and utensils we needed. There was also filtered water inside the fridge, which we didn’t discover until the last day after we had already purchased several gallons of water to drink. The beds were fairly comfy, although the room with the bunk beds is very cramped and better suited for small children.
It was quick 7 min walk to the beach. The resort pools and hot tubs were nice, although the lazy river was a bit too cold for this time of year (March). There was plenty to do in the area with Destin nearby. Several good restaurants were close as well.
We enjoyed our stay and I would stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our time at Destin West Feb 2023 everything was top notch had a couple small problems that were addressed and fixed immediatly. Very nice accommodations close to heated pool had nice outdoor kitchen which we often used.

This was our second year at Destin West, our first staying in Sandpiper. We were pleased with the location and the access to the lazy river/pool area. Rooms were perfect in size for us. My only suggestion would be to downsize the kitchen ware and open up a cabinet for pantry use as we had to store all of our food on the counter tops. Most travelers will use paper products/plasticware to eliminate the need to wash dishes on vacation. Decor was very "mood setting" and the patio is perfect in size. Looking forward to next year!

Had a great time despite the poor weather. Having the pool and amenities on the bay side allowed us to keep the group of kids occupied during the first day, and was able to walk the sky bridge to the beach on the second. Private gas grill helped out a lot as well.
Only thing I could complain about is having to get on multiple elevators to get across the highway (3), but that is the building itself and not the booking. Still worth the hassle to be able to have access to both sides and a place with a heated pool, hot tubs, and a lazy river.

This is our first time staying in this particular unit. We have stayed in this complex a few times in the past. But this unit has to be our favorite by far! The unit was exceptionally clean when we showed up, we even got to check in an hour or more earlier. The location on The Lazy River could not have been any better. The kids loved being able to go straight down to the pool and The Lazy River from our patio. The walk to the beach was a short quick walk. We absolutely love this place, we hope to book this for future vacations!

The condo was beautiful and exactly as described. It was clean and spacious for my family of 5. David always kept me informed during every step of the process. We loved the location. It was only a few minute drive to get to Destin. The beach was not very crowded. We enjoyed the beautiful clear and warm water at the beach. The beach was a dream come true for these northerners. The bay is located behind the condo, and we enjoyed floating in it and looking for crabs and hermit crabs. My children loved finishing up each day on the lazy river and in the pools. We are looking forward to coming back!

We had a great stay at David’s Place. We always come back to this particular location because of the great amenities. David’s particular condo was a favorite of ours because of the outside space. You have by far the best patio and grill area of any condo around!! We were able to host family members and grill out while our children were able to be right there in the lazy river.
The condo is decorated very beachy and overall had a very clean feel. We had a great experience and will be back next year

We loved this condo and location within resort. Step outside to lazy River, zero entry pool, 2 hot tubs, and heated pool. Views of beautiful palm trees and even the bay out back. Can walk with stroller all the way to beach access across the sky bridge (and elevators within the buildings).....took about 10 minutes with stroller. Had beach cart, chairs and toys/floats in private garage under condo. Condo had all kitchenware we needed and even kid plates, cups and bowls. Fridge has filtered water inside. We loved it and will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our time here. The condo location is superb within the resort. The patio is great, with 2 levels and the outdoor grill/kitchen. We did find the seating on the patio to be less than comfortable (it's 2 picnic tables, 2 benches). That would be the only suggestion for improvement. Otherwise, the condo layout is great and spacious.

We have stayed here 3 times though the years and every time everything is great! It is a great location if you have young children. You can park underneath the condo and your only 5 feet from jumping in the lazy river. Very nice grill area and a huge porch. The inside of the condo is top notch. Very easy communication with the owner and helps you with anything you need. It's a 5 star place to stay!

The condo was decorated nicely, the outdoor tiki bar and kitchen was fantastic! Plus just steps to the lazy river. No need to leave the condo, but when we did go to the beach we had a beach cart, umbrella and chairs etc available at the condo for our use. The property owners were also very nice, responded quickly to any questions we had. We will definitely be staying in this condo again!

The place was great!! I am very particular and I was overly satisfied. The Lanai unit was super convenient. It had a garage storage area underneath the unit so we could store all of our sandy beach items. The grill was pretty cool. It was nice being right next to the lazy river. I have 3 little kids and it ended up being a relaxing vacation. In 2018, it will be our 3rd time staying at the Destin West complex. I can't see how it can get any better than this.

Great condo, great location, amazing pools! Seriously, we had the best time. Spent many nights grilling and eating on the patio (we actually ate almost all meals on the patio). We travelled with a 14 month old and being just steps away from the best pools on the property was amazing. It was so convenient to swim and then head back to the room for a nap! We'd stay here again!!!

This is our second time staying at Destin West. This unit was a perfect unit that comfortably held our family. The location right off the lazy river and pool was just perfect. We spent many hours floating around and wish we could stay longer. I would highly recommend this unit as it is managed by the owners. They are so prompt and thoughtful. It was a much better experience than renting the other through a management company. We had concerns of the hurricane disrupting our trip and the owner was so prompt and on top of things that it eliminated any concerns. We are ready to book again for next year - and would highly recommend to anyone else!

We had a 4 year & 2 10 year olds & They did not want to get out of the Lazy River Pool!! The outside poolside grill was wonderful! The condo was decorated beautifully!! A few things was fixed while we were there; so it's ready for the next family!! It was fixed quickly & expeditiously!! Loved it & was a tremendous hit!!!

This was our 2nd time in L06, we loved the accommodations and the resort. We love the outdoor kitchen and the deck area. There was plenty of room for 4 kids and 4 adults. We were just steps from the lazy river, hot tub and pool areas. The resort is very clean and family friendly. The owner of this unit was readily accessible and helpful with information. Sunset on the Bay was incredibly beautiful. Looking forward to next year's vacation.

This was our 5th year staying at the Destin West Beach and Bay Resort, but the first in this particular condo. We always like the lanai units for easy access to the lazy river. This lanai was exceptional. Our favorite part was the outdoor kitchen. It is perfect for grilling with a bar area and sink. We also really appreciated being able to use the secure garage for our fishing equipment. The unit was clean and comfortable. The owner was readily available and made everything easy!

This property was incredible! My wife and I had 3 teen/tween girls with us. We all had a blast. Just bring food and toiletries. The grill was really nice. Everyone kept saying how cool it was to have a grill, as they floated by on the lazy river. It was nice to have every household item imaginable at our disposal. The Gulf is really close. Just go over the bridge, and you're there. Even the bay is pretty. We went out on the boat dock, and watched the sun set. It was really nice. The kids loved the pools and lazy river. Treat yourself! :)

Great unit and excellent location for a family with small ones and grandparents! The parking directly underneath was especially helpful since we have 6 daughters - youngest was 3 months and oldest was 6. Appreciated the large outdoor area for eating outside and playing the ring game. Booking, contact, and help for any issues was perfect - no issues at all! A short drive to the local grocery store, restaurants and most importantly short walk to the beach. The unit was fantastic. Large with spacious rooms. The layout was perfect. We have been visiting Fort Walton Beach area for 30+ years and have rented from Navarre to Destin. This was by far the very best condo and location we have ever rented. I will not hesitate to stay there again and will probably look no further for a vacation stay! The access to the beach, lazy river, pool, bay, eating, and having all the space on the patio with easy in and easy out of the lazy river was just too much. Everyone in my family all said it was the best vacation yet. Check in and check out was a breeze and the property admin was always available for any questions/concerns. I could not recommend a property with any more than a 5 star stay!! Was truly the best of the best!!

My wife and I brought 4 kids and their nana along for the trip this year. This was our second year as a family to this property. What an amazing place to stay, the condo was great and I did not come across any issues. Mr Jenn was great with communication and was open to help in any way. Our kids found some new friends that they are still in touch with from miles away and we are so excited to get back to this area again. The outside kitchen with the grill had everyone looking over at us every night as we grilled out steaks and burgers etc. Tons of room inside to relax after long days in the sun. The bed where comfortable and the showers were strong. As I told Mr Jenn, the only feedback that I could think of was that maybe an update to flat screen TVs would be nice. Just for those late nights or rain outs. You can not go wrong with this condo! Make it your own, have fun and make memories that trust me last a long time!!!

This was our 2nd trip to this property.....1st time to this condo. This place is great for kids and we will be back! We picked this condo for it's location (1st floor), patio, and grill. All condos at this resort have patios but this one is special. It is HUGE! It was beach/pool/lazy river/hot tub every day and party time every night. Fire up the grill, put on some tunes, crack open another cold one, and continue the fun. The Ring On A String game was a huge hit with everyone and access from the patio to the lazy river was a luxury in itself. This unit also has a garage which made things super easy when it came to storing our beach gear, packing and unpacking the car, and bringing in that truck load of groceries on that first day. There were coolers, beach carts, beach chairs, beach towels, an umbrella, beach toys.....we could use, which was a really nice amenity. The kitchen was stocked really well in terms of pots, pans, and small appliances. The condo itself was really spacious and clean and although there was only 5 of us it could easily sleep 9. The decor, tiki hut on the patio, palm trees, lighting, water, and view of the bay really set a very tropical feel to our stay and which created a relaxing and laid back mood that was much needed. The owner communicated very well with me prior to, during, and after our stay. Overall this condo was a great fit for me and my family and we had a great vacation as a result!

I just don't even know where to start!!! We booked only 4 days before our arrival.... with no time for mistakes David made it a breeze! He even gave us an extra day then he quoted just in case we got there a day earlier! In our welcome pack there were lots of great vacation tips and info on anything and everything there is to do in the area! The condo was beautiful; bed comfortable; and the location was perfect!! The lazy river is right off your patio! Beauiful palm trees giving it a perfect resort appeal! The garage was so convenient and is actually attached to the walk up patio! Saved so much time loading and unloading. The garage has a great cart and extra beach toys that make the stay perfect! We brought 2 cars and the parking lot was very close! It's right over the bridge from Destin and so you can experience the hustle and bustle of Destin but also enjoy the relaxation of the quiet Fort Walton! The beach was not a far walk over the bridge and beautiful. It was a private area and not overly crowded. There is a rental hunt and a private walk up bar right in the sand! I literally could go on and on! But I will say don't look any further! This is the place to stay! Ahhhhh I just wanna live here!!! Thank you David! You are amazing!

This was our first VRBO experience, and Mr. Jenn made the process efficient, speedy, and painless. Upon arrival we had some questions and Mr. Jenn answered his phone immediately, and gave us all the information we were asking for. Besides the cheerful decor, it was also nice to find that EVERYTHING WORKED, as it is a well maintained unit, complete with "Rock Star" reserved parking in the garage which is just steps from the Lani, for easy unloading, loading, and a reserved covered parking spot, when returning from trips. The beach cart and beach equipment was a nice touch. When it comes to the Lazy River (main gathering place) this one excelled, as it is all about LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!

My wife and my two adult college age daughters traveled down to vacation with me just two weeks after having back surgery. Although we have been to Destin West in the past several times we had never stayed at this particular unit. The condo itself was perfect with no issues as well as the rental process. The close proximity to the parking and the lazy river was most important for me although my family enjoyed the beach daily. Everything we needed was in the condo in good working condition. Although not as spacious as a couple of units I have rented in the past the location more than made up for it.
