Destin West - Heron PH-09

We had a wonderful stay at this condo! The space was spacious, clean, and a great place for our family to relax. We loved being close to the beach and having access to a fitness room. The location was perfect—close to attractions, restaurants, and stores we frequented. We would definitely recommend this condo and would happily stay here again. The best part was the hot tub!

Very well equipped with spacious room for a family stay. Relaxing , gorgeous views from the rooftop, with views overlooking the pools and the bay. Lots of good food and entertainment within walking distance, with many more options a short drive away. Would definitely stay in this unit again!

The kids loved the lazy river, and the walk to the beach was easy. This was our first time staying bayside, and we will stay again! My family and I enjoyed our stay. The condo was a perfect fit for us. We enjoyed the rooftop jacuzzi, the pools and of course the beach. The condo was clean, beds were comfy and the entire place was very spacious. Highly recommend this condo for a family trip to Destin/Fort Walton Beach.

We couldn't have found a better place to stay. The accommodations were more than enough, we were able to sleep 8 of us comfortably. The walking distance to the beach was about as close as we could get without being on the beach itself. We loved the memories we made and enjoyed our time together at the pools. Condo was everything advertised. Actually had more beach equipment than originally said. We had total of 7 adults and was plenty of room and most accommodating. Would certainly stay here again. Couldn't figure tv out and they sent someone over immediately to fix it. Simple fix in programming. Can't say enough about property or staff. Thanks for a great stay.

It was an amazing stay. My aunt is already requesting that we stay again next month. The staff is very nice and attentive. The beds were comfy and home decor was well appointed. We vacationed at the same time as a lot of kids out for fall break. However, we never heard any outdoors noise inside of the unit from the fun being had outside in the pool.

This was truly a vacation at home. This unit afforded everything needed for everyday living and vacation enjoyment. Once we drove in and parked our car, we did not need to use our car. We had every necessity and luxury needed to make this a perfect week. We enjoyed the laziness of comfortable mornings with our coffee and the magnificent views from the front, rear and rooftop balconies. The Lazy River was used for relaxation while we chose the beach waters for exercise. The sunshine was just the Vitamin "Sea" that we needed! With several options for eating out within walking distance, we never had to rush to prepare food to eat. The owner and rental company take pride in the furnishings of this condo and everything was as expected. We enjoyed the hot tub immensely as we relaxed in the evening. The rooftop provided an excellent view of the holiday fireworks! Although we did not use the two additional bedrooms, they were available if friends or family had been able to join us. The master bedroom with double vanities and walk in shower afforded us all we needed for comfort. There was plenty of seating with two sofas in the living area, and with the beginning of football season, the big screen tv gave a perfect view. This rental company and this unit in particular is highly recommended!

This unit was perfect for my daughter’s senior trip! We enjoyed the rooftop hot tub, especially to watch the fireworks. There were so many pools for everyone to relax in including the lazy river. Would highly recommend this to family and friends.
A few suggestions would be having a cooler to take to the beach maybe some more closet space in the front bedroom. Maybe label all the light switches. This place is perfect.

Once again we had the best winter place to lease. Coastal vibes is quick to respond with any of our needs. The first week the Main tv went out and it was replaced the same day. The front door pock was replaced as soon as we had a problem opening the door with our code. Then we were bless with a new hot tub. Thanks again for making our stay a pleasant one.

Heron PH09 is the perfect example of a getaway for relaxation. The location to the amazing interior setup of the unit (master bathroom shower is hands down one of the best showers I have ever used!) is worth staying and never leaving but unfortunately I don't think that is possible haha. The view from the multiple balconies to the rooftop penthouse is the oasis of solitude when waiting beach time without the people. I would recommend Heron PH09 to anyone and I would look into it again myself for the future!

Everything was great, but the place could have been cleaner. The frying pans need to be upgraded as we couldn’t even fry eggs and had to wash all the dishes and anything we used in advance. The dishwasher also needs to be changed. Zip ties won’t fix the damages. The place also needs 10 mugs if it hosts ten guests etc.

This condo was just perfect— plenty of space, beautifully decorated, stocked with all the kitchen needs, and amazing views from both decks. On the bay side, this has to be one of the best condo for views of everything. We loved spending our evenings on the top deck for sunset and watching the boats pass on the bay. While it’s a little bit of a haul to the beach (mainly because of the 3 elevator trips to get there) it’s a very easy trek thanks to the sky bridge. The condo also had a wagon to borrow which made the trip to the beach so easy— also had all sorts of beach toys which our kids loved. If we return to Destin/Fort Walton beach area, this condo would probably be our first choice again. For the price and all the perks of this condo, it’s certainly worth it!

This was our first time staying in the area as my son is in tech school in the air force in fort walton. Our family decided that it would be a great time to visit him. So off we went, my husband and I, our oldest son, his wife, our 2 grandbabies, my middle son, his wife who is expecting their first baby and the air force sons girlfriend. We made great memories that I will cherish. The condo was so wonderful. It was clean, and decorated so lovely. The bed in the master was amazing! Also the shower in the master bath. The booking, check in, directions, instructions, and check out were all hassle free! I would love to go back again someday! Oh and one more thing, if you get a chance to watch the sunset on the penthouse balcony, do it! :)

We loved staying here! The condo had everything you could need ! Would definitely stay here again. Views are beautiful, especially from the rooftop. We did struggle with the temperature in the condo. We could never get all the rooms and living room at the same temperature…this could very well be user error though. We did get a significant amount of rain. It rained so hard that several times rain came in the condo from the front door. We had to use bath towels to stop the flooding. Would suggest putting something under the door to stop the rain from coming in like that. This just added laughter to our vacation though. :) 5 out 5 would recommend staying here!

We had terrible weather and I experienced a severe vertigo attack while we were there, but the condo exceeded our expectations. The VIEWS are spectacular from this condo!!! Also, it was very clean, organized and roomy. We were in the room a lot and everyone had plenty of space to move around in. The hot tub was a BIG hit since it was chilly and the kids loved the heated pool. We did have two beautiful days at the beach which was close by. It is definitely walkable by using the bridge if you dont have small kids, but we found it more convenient to drive over since we had a lot of stuff. The Boardwalk is a lot of fun and the food was great, but beware it is a bit pricey. The drive into Destin is very short and there are tons of things to do there. Overall, David's place is great, the location is great and we will def book again!

We had a fantastic time. The condo is exactly as described. Plenty of beds and even a pack n play for the baby. The resort is nice—we have been before and really enjoy it. I wish they would heat the pools a bit more when the weather is cooler. It was in the 50s two of the days. The condo had everything we needed with the exception of smart tvs. We could not figure out how to use the tv to switch to Netflix and we couldn’t use our other streaming services. Not crucial but it did rain a couple times and a family movie would have been nice. Instead Momma got to watch hallmark mysteries (my favorite channel). Easy access to the beach although I would say it takes more like 15 minutes if you have the wagon to pull. I cheated and drove across the street and parked on the first floor garage as I also had a baby to transport. The beach chairs and beach wagon very nice and lots of sand toys, umbrella and even a baby float. This condo more than met our needs. 4 young men ranging in ages 15-21, a mom and a 7 month old. Toaster, toaster oven, microwave came in handy. Kitchen was well supplied. Lots of towels. Beds were comfy. We all had a great time.

Herron PH9 is an excellent property, the listing/pictures are spot on. The high ceilings and large hallway made the condo feel open and spacious. My husband and I took our two teens and they each brought a friend and we still had plenty of privacy. We love the sound side and loved that this property provides direct water access to the sound Would highly recommend this property for your next family vacation!

This is our second year visiting Destin and staying at the resort. This condo was phenomenal!!! The view, private hot tub and grill, full sized washer and dryer, large and roomy fridge with ice maker and water, dishwasher, garbage disposal, whirlpool bath tub, cleanliness and communication were all unbeatable. We originally rented for 9 but actually only traveled with 7. However, the amount of space and accommodations would have comfortably satisfied 9. Everything you could possibly need was right there. Even an X-BOX which I must’ve missed in the description. My teenagers were all too happy to see that as one of the accommodations. All we needed was our personal belongings. This trip was absolutely amazing thanks in most part to David and his team. We WILL be back! Thanks again, David.

Destin West is a very nice place to stay. We stayed on the bay side. The lazy river will keep most of your group satisfied for hours. There are four other pool areas, covered seating and lounge chairs all around to enjoy as well. If you are interested in going to the beach, a walking bridge is available to safely go from side to side. Our condo was clean, well maintained, comfortable and well stocked for all our eating and drinking needs. There was also a wine cooler which was a nice touch. The rooftop balcony was wonderful. Whether bbq'ing in the evening or early morning coffee it was peaceful, breezy and comfortable. Parking and traffic can be tricky, but I always found early mornings provided the best opportunities for both. Heron PH-09 was awesome!! Thank you David and all the team at coastal vibe for making all this so easy. We will definitely be contacting you for our next beach vacation!

Our time at Destin West PH09 exceeded our expectations! The condo itself is amazing! It truly felt like a home away from home with everyone having plenty of room to spread out, but also the coffee table and spacious dining room table for board games, card games and family dinners. The views of the Gulf and the Inlet along with the sunset are breathtaking. While we really enjoyed spending time at the pools, we also liked hanging out on the rooftop terrace in the private hot tub and grilling out.
You are in close proximity to great restaurants, literally walking distance and fun family activities that the adults our 18 year old and 5 year old enjoyed. We rented a pontoon and jet ski next door and took them out for the day without having to drive anywhere.
David was always quick to answer any questions I had and the condo was supplied with everything promised! We will definitely be back!

Great location. Loved the proximity to the beach, the bay, and the boardwalk. Didn't have to drive many places, which was great since traffic is a MESS! Close enough to Destin to make the trip a couple times (go early and leave early!) for a visit to the gator farm and a morning dolphin cruise. Overall a great place for kids and adults. This was our 5th stay at Destin West and by far the best unit! We have been coming to Okaloosa Island for about 12 years now. We came from North Georgia and brought our daughter, husband and 3 yr. old grand-daughter as well as our 16 yr. old son. We booked the Heron PH-09 for 7 nights and were so blessed to enjoy a perfect weather week. We were pleased to be able to have plenty of sleeping room in the guest room with the queen-on-queen bed and the large closet space as well as dresser and tv in the room. The unit was spacious and beautifully decorated just as it was in the pictures; although, I think the pictures didn't do it justice. Very well stocked with supplies and was especially pleased with the startup supplies! Thanks to the amazing team at Coastal Vibes. We had a couple of situations arise and were met with a very prompt response from David as well as his meeting our expectations and resolving our situation. The condo is clean and well maintained. The bed in Master Bedroom was amazing! Slept like babies. The view of sunrise from Master bedroom is spectacular; not to mention the rooftop! We enjoyed our morning coffee each day as we always do from the roof and were not disappointed. The hot tub was very relaxing and the high-top table on the roof was a great spot for the 360 degree view and spectacular sunsets! Our daughter and husband really enjoyed the private balcony on the back side with a beautiful view of the beach and boardwalk. It was nice to have a sense of privacy from one another with the front and back areas. Its great for multiple families and various age groups. One of the reasons we love this condo so much is the tropical feel of the lazy river area. The lush greenery and tropical flowers make it feel like a lagoon! The maintenance team has been very good at keeping it beautiful. Even at night the changing lights cast such a beautiful hue over the water! We were able to rent a pontoon this trip and spend the day at crab island and beaching on the island while the kids snorkeled, fished and played in the sand. Absolutely worth the trip! We also got to see the Gulfarium and were very suprised at all the marine life! Kids went down the road on foot and spent the last evening at the arcade. Always a favorite. We did not play putt-putt this trip due to the weather on the last day but have enjoyed the course here many times. As always, the soft white sand, crystal clear emerald waters, and amazing blue skies are what draws us to this little piece of paradise. The fact that we can enjoy all of this and never have to drive anywhere is just a bonus!! As for food....we enjoyed a wonderful seafood feast at Crab Trap which has always been one of our favorites. Our grand-daughter so enjoyed getting to watch her favorite disney movie on the blowup screen on the sand behind the boardwalk. We had a great lunch at Anglers and our 16yr. old loved the gator bites! Also, we found a great breakfast spot just over the bridge in Ft. Walton called "The Little Grill". A must for a quaint little island breakfast. If you really want to have breakfast with a view of the ocean you can at Anglers but keep in mind they don't have bf every day. We all thoroughly enjoyed this trip and will definately stay in this unit again! Thanks so much to the cleaning, maintenance staff as well as management. We will continue to recommend you guys. Can't wait for our next adventure! The Kellers!

We had a fantastic stay here at Destin West. The pools, lazy river, proximity to other activities, rooftop balcony, were all awesome. Our entire party enjoyed the stay. The property managers were very responsive to any inquiries and made sure we enjoyed the stay. The only downside (and I only say this because we traveled with a 2 and 4 year old) was the proximity to the beach. The bridge was great as it would literally be the only way to cross that busy road. From this unit, it was probably a 10-15 minute walk to the beach (I know, boohoo). The beach was beautiful and the boardwalk had an activity every night if you were so inclined to attend. I would recommend this property to anyone that has a medium to large party.

Absolutly amazing! Everything about this room is great. The pools at the resort are perfect for families, and the room itself worked out wonderfully. Traffic can get a little bad, but we just avoided driving during busy times. The Gulf Breeze Zoo by Pensacola ia a must go to!

We had a very relaxing time in Fort Walton Beach at the Penthouse condo. Having the roof area basically doubles your living space, so you can spread out. We cooked every day, and the kitchen plus rooftop grill was perfect.
We loved the area, with access to the bay side, lazy river and multiple pool areas, safe walkway to the beach, plus plenty of grocery stores, shopping and restaurants.
We actually met one of David's staff at a local restaurant at lunch before checking in. You could tell that they took pride in the company and the properties.

David's place is great. It has a huge terrace with its own private jacuzzi and it is right across from the beach. It was very clean and David was very responsive and willing to help guests. Management is strict though and they have some requirements for when you check out that you have to make sure to read (and returning their pool bands which is not specified). Overall good experience and the place is great. Would stay there again!

Glad to hear that you had a nice stay. We state in the check in email that pool bands are to be left at the door when leaving. The HOA requires the pool bands and charges us for them if they are not left in the condo.

This is the perfect place for families! You can't beat the location. The condo is gorgeous and spacious with enough room for large families. It was super clean and had everything we need to make our stay enjoyable. The building has amazing heated pools and hot tubs and a lazy river which my kids loved! The beach is beautiful and just right across the road which is easy to criss with a bridge that goes over the top. This will be our new go to location for Destin!

We really had a nice stay in the apartment. The complex is in a great location, on both sides it has water. The pool area with the lazy river was cool and the kids had a lot of fun and on the second day the kids did not want to go to the beautiful beach anymore but rather stay by the pool ;-)
The apartment is modern and has everything it needs. It was very clean!
David is super organized and the whole process with the check in and the rules is very simple and uncomplicated, very enjoyable!
Many thanks to David for the stay and we could well imagine coming back in the future!

It was amazing, Dave was such a great help from the time we started looking at places to stay to the time we departed. We had a couple small problems that got fixed right away. this is the only place that i will stay while in Destin. I would recommend this condo to everyone that comes to Destin or Fort Walton beach. We had Darris Photographer do our family pictures which we have used her before. Deep sea fishing was a blast and we used Captain Gary which we have used before. All around we had a blast.

What a wonderful condo and location! All the amenities of home and then some! The condo is thoughtfully furnished throughout. The kitchen had every accessory imaginable for us from measuring spoons to a crockpot and a Ninja blender! There was also a beach buggy equipped with beach chairs, toys for the little ones to use at the beach, cushions for all of the chairs. A beautiful condo with a great view - cannot say enough good about this unit! You will not be disappointed to stay and Coastal Vibe Vacations is a very professional and highly responsive company to work with. We will definitely be back for future vacations!

This was our second year renting this exact unit, so that should say something for the unit and the owner. We traveled here for our Daughter's spring break softball tournament. The team at Coastal Vibe Vacations is amazing. They are incredibly timely and knowledgable about the unit and the area. They even include a list of things to do and special places to get great deals on fun vacation activities. The unit itself is spacious, well decorated and perfect for our family of five that visited. Their maintenance of the space is amazing. The unit looked even better than the first time we stayed here. Great job crew! My son, loved the addition of the XBox One to the unit. After a long day at the pool/beach, relaxing in the rooftop hot tub, he was able to unwind for the night by playing some games. He said it was like being at home but better. Give this unit a try, I promise you won't be disappointed.

The photos and video say it all. Plus it's quiet and the facilities (pools, lazy river, etc) are clean and well maintained. Being on the very east end of Ft Walton Beach, it's an easy access to Destin as well. We have been renting units for 25 years, and have never dealt with a rental manager more accommodating than David. We plan to be back!

Destin West is a great place to stay. It caters to all ages and has something for everyone. Our family loves it so much we can back every year. This particular condo made the trip even better. Having access to our own hot tub and gas grill was a huge bonus. The children enjoyed the hot tub and watching movies underneath the stars while we grilled our dinner and admired the amazing views from the penthouse deck. I don't even think that it was in the description that there was a TV on the penthouse deck. The kids thought that was really cool. The 6 of us loved the location of the condo as well. You could see the bay as well as the gulf from all rooms. Due to the fact that it is an end unit- it was more private, and had more windows. Bright and cheery! The pools are AMAZING! The beach is gorgeous and isn't too bad of a walk across the bridge. An excellent place to stay!!

We have stayed at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort at least 3 times now and twice through David Jenn. There’s a reason we went back to one of his units - he makes it all effortless. This unit in particular is wonderful for multi-generation families. Lots of extra balcony space since it’s a penthouse and many bed options. We went with our 2 teens, oldest son and his family. We never felt cramped. Loved every minute of family time, this resort and this condo. Thanks David!

Great property and great complex. Benefits of this property is being on the top floor and having access to the rooftop. From here you have great views of the sunrise and sunset, the pool and also an ocean view. Great place to sit for lunch, work out in the morning or just unwind from a day in the sun. The condo itself has plenty of space and room which is great when having guests over for dinner or just to hang out. Owners were great in going over everything with us and preparing us for what would be a great stay. We had perfect weather which always makes everything better. Would definitely return.

This was our 2nd stay at this penthouse condo. We love it and all the amenities it offers. -The beach cart and chairs save me room for packing other things we need. -The hot tub and grill on the roof are awesome, and also having access to the splash pad for the kids is perfect too. Overall just a great, fun, family friendly place to stay. We'll be back!

We rented this penthouse condo as well as the one next door to accommodate our family for a much needed vacation that included our six children, their spouses and our three grandchildren (and the 2 grandchildren that are on the way)! The place was immaculate and David was very helpful in meeting all of our needs. We had an issue with a clogged drain in the hall bathtub and within a few hours, the drain was fixed and they even re-cleaned the bathroom while they were there for the fix! This was the perfect location for our family! We enjoyed fishing off the pier and catching crabs in the bay, the lazy river and the short walk to the beach. What a great vacation - we rented two units from David Jenn , this one and Pelican PH3Penthouse. Both Condos were just perfect for our family of 13 - they were furnished perfectly and we had everything we needed to enjoy a week from home. David was wonderful about responding back with any questions we had which made our vacation even more enjoyable. Such as what was the code to walk out on the dock - We ate in most nights and the kitchen was stocked with pots/pans etc. This unit also, has a great Hot Tub on top and how we enjoyed the lazy river -. David even made sure we had the perfect weather while we were there. David also lead us to Adventure Marina where we stored our two wave runners we brought with us - Which worked out perfectly - 7 days and approx. $85 and we had 24 hour use and could put in and out which was all included. Perfect place to store a boat if your bringing that also and only about a mile away. We also rented a Pontoon there as well for 5 hours - $200 which included the gas and spent time on Crab Island which was fun for all. The kids enjoyed the lazy river as well as the adults - only wishing we could have had a drink with us while floating but no drinks allowed - They do need to lift that restriction a little. The beach cart was really awesome and walking across to the ocean was a breeze - having chairs and umbrella and built in cooler - made the trip across the walkway so easy. The walkway across the highway is a great plus. I love the gulf side because of the lazy river - pools - Picture Perfect Then we chartered a fishing boat for 8 of the adults - for 5 hours "Just B-Cause" was the name and Capt Ken was amazing. Would recommend him and his first mate Vinney with a 5***** rating. Goggle "Just B-Cause" Left around 6:30 am went out about 18 miles - took 1 1/2 hours to get out there - fished for 2 1/2 hours - and came back with 110 keepers --- and we threw back that many - as fast as you could put the pole back in you had another catch. Of course it helps when all the females caught the biggest fish of the day.. :-) They did all the cleaning and we hauled back to the condo 110 fish - we ate fish the next two nights --- and brought the rest home. 5 ****** rating... You won't be sorry with this unit ... Thanks David

This is a beautiful property and unit. The whole property is extremely clean and well maintained. The boat slips are great, very functional. The pools were pristine. We stayed about 2 months at this great property! Loved all of the amenities: gym, pools and lazy river (although wish it was heated!). David Jenn was great to work with...very proactive and responsive. Our rooftop hot tub was the best, had an issue with the grill, but David had his handyman take care of it! Location is perfect.....close to restaurants and shopping. Beach is short walk across the skyway bridge, the condo had beach chairs, umbrella and best of all a beach cart to truck it over! Can't wait till our return next year!

What a great property!! And a great condo. Very comfortable beds and seating. Very quiet end unit. Don't have to worry about anyone walking by making noise. A/c worked great and tvs in every room was nice. Price is reasonable for a 600k plus condo for sure!! There is a boat and jet ski rental next door which is in a grew location for a great boat ride and can't beat the lazy pool and numerous hot tubs including one on the roof top. Speaking of that roof top you can see the fireworks at the Destin harbor with ease. David the rental Mgr is great.

We were thoroughly pleased with our whole experience. The condo was amazing, the roof top terrace was a nice extra to take advantage of. We watched the fireworks from the roof top and enjoyed the hot tub. The lazy river was a huge hit with the kids! The condo was extemely spacious and the cart of beach accessories made getting out to enjoy our vacation very easy. None of us wanted to leave to go home! We have been to Ft. Walton Beach for over 30 years and this was, by far, one of the most relaxing vacations ever! Other than making a trip to the grocery and fresh seafood market, we didn't move our vehicle during our stay! Pools, beach, water activities, shops, and restaurants were all within walking distance! We prepared all but one meal in the condo alleviating waits and headaches associated with taking 3 toddlers out to eat! We were not ready to leave and can't wait to come back!

This is the second year that we have rented from David and both years it has been an awesome! His condos are always so clean and he is very prompt to get back with you and address any issues you may have. Our dryer went out a few days into the vacation and the next day we had a new dryer being installed. The view and the accommodations at Destin west are wonderful. Awesome.....could leave it there, but gotta say the pictures do not do this condo justice- HUGE master bed and bath with walk out onto large covered patio....and then, walk up the spiral to the corner rooftop sporting a huge hot tub and wonderful grill. The views- simply to die for from up there! The condo is nicely appointed with almost everything a guest could need for a week. The beach buggy with the umbrella and chairs was an added treat and made the trip to the beach so easy. So many pools! The lazy river was perfect! Far better & bigger than we expected. There really isn't much reason to leave the resort except to pick up local fish and yummy shrimp at Sextons Seafood Market and a trip to Publix to stock up....The only downer to this trip---Avoid the Crab Trap (Crap Trap as our kids now call it!)
