My husband and I grew up on Okaloosa Island and love coming back and staying at Destin West. This unit is perfect- ocean/beach front views, great wrap around balcony to see the pool/hot-tub, and an easy walk over the sky bridge to the other resort style amenities. Also walking distance to night life and restaurants at The Boardwalk, along with the beachside bar next door at The Island Resort. The management group was very responsive and provided clear directions and extra information about the area. Would definitely stay in this unit again!

Coastal Vibe Vacations is such a nice, easy group to work with. We stayed our first time in Gulfside 402 in November of 2023. We had such a great time that we wanted to stay in the exact same unit this last time we were there. We love how close it is to the pier and shopping area. We love that there are sand toys and floats provided for the kids to use. We have already been talking about when we can go back. (Trying to win the powerball, LOL)

Gulf side 402 was a beautiful condo and perfect for our family vacation. We loved having coffee and eating breakfast on the balcony with the stunning beach views. The condo has everything you needed and we really loved the big washer and dryer in the unit. We will definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay in unit 402! The views from the balcony cannot be beat! We have stayed at Destin West multiple times and this was by far our favorite view! There was ample space for our family of 4 and loved having daily beach chairs set up every day for us! The unit had everything we needed as well. Plenty of towels/linens, dishes, etc. Coastal Vibes was also very responsive anytime we had a question about our stay! We highly recommend booking this unit!

Fantastic views in this clean oceanfront condo. We walked to the pier area for restaurants. Publix about a mile away. Destin village very easy drive. The management was very quick to replace our Kurig that was bad. Had a wonderful time.

Condo is well updated and very spacious and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Plenty of towels were supplied, which is not always the case. The property was well kept and had plenty of pools, just wish more of them were heated. Having the beach chair service included was an added bonus and the beach in front of the condo is a private beach for the guests only. Really nice !

Nice location for an opportunity to get away to the beach. The vacation was relaxing and the resort pools and hot tubs were invigorating. Our stay was not without issues: the master bathroom light would not work and the door lock failed part way through the trip. Coastal Vibe responded very well and the maintenance man was prompt, friendly, and helpful with our needs and questions. In time of need prompt response was a welcome experience.

It's all about the view. What an amazing view from Gulfside 402. That was what we were wanting and it was our favorite part of our stay. The captains chairs on the balcony were perfect for our morning coffee overlooking the Gulf. We enjoyed plenty of meals on the balcony as well, and loved listening to the waves as we drifted off to sleep in the master bedroom. The wraparound balcony was great--we could see not only the Gulf, but also see if the hot tub was full or open! The accomodations were great, and it was easy to check in and check out. This unit is close to the water, and also directly across from an elevator which was really convenient. The kitchen was well stocked and appliances worked well. It was a quiet area, so it was nice to not deal with loud neighbors. We also appreciated the smart TVs in each of the rooms. We would love to go back! This is a fantastic place to stay in this area. The water is gorgeous and the pier is so close as well. Many great restaurants close by.

We loved our time spent in this unit. The balcony alone made for an incredible morning coffee environment. Unit is in within walking distance of so much we rarely needed to drive. The beach is one of the cleanest we have been on. Wonderful vacation unit that I would highly recommend.

It was the first time at complex and in this unit. Communication was great from start to finish and we are already wanting to book another stay. The view can't be beat. Everything was clean and really enjoyed everything about this location. Loved watching the dolphins from the balcony and having the beach service worked out perfectly for us. My only complaint was that our vacation went by too fast.

We loved our stay. The condo was very clean and had a fabulous view. It was peaceful to sit out on the patio every morning and even saw dolphins swimming. The amenities were perfect and the condo had all that we need for a memorable vacation. We would definitely stay here again. It was a wonderful stay. We loved the lazy river. My husband, son and grandsons use the pier for fishing and caught many fish! The condo itself was great and when I called about the overhead fan and sliding doors, maintenance came quickly.

Our stay started off scary with elevator issue, but the individuals with Coastal Vibe were quick to contact and even brought yummy donuts! The condo itself was nice and clean. Everything in working order. Beautiful view from the balcony right to the gulf. Nice, open floor plan. Washer and dryer was a HUGE blessing with children. Would recommended and stay in condo again!!

This was a girls trip for recently retired educators! I love this complex because it is so close to the beach. There is great, easy walk out. I also extremely love the included beach chair rental. I will comment elevators were broken EVERY day we were there, so we had to carry beach supplies up and down stairs, not condo owner fault, but should have been addressed. The condo itself was nice and clean with all needed supplies. The air did break in the middle of trip but was fixed within 24 hours. Overall, a good stay and I will return.

I have stayed at this resort for 10 years now. This unit has the best view. The only negative was that my alarm in master bedroom went off at 6am on the 4th morning which happened to be check out day. Was wondering if that was set on purpose since we didn’t set it and it didn’t go off any other mornings. Blew it off until the cleaning person showed up an hour before check out to see if we had happened to leave yet. But I will still be booking this unit next year.

Top notch condo offered by top notch company! Destin West is the destination for a family fun destination. Our ocean front 3 bedroom condo was clean, well appointed, and is blessed with glorious ocean views. Destin West is Filled with pools, lazy river, and marina. It's proximity to the Boardwalk drew me to this location. Free nightly events offered here and just a short walk down the beach. Magic show, luau night, fireworks, ect! This gem of a condo is provided by a tried trusted and true company. Their communication, reminders, vacation suggestions, response time, and follow up are nothing but top notch professionalism. Oh how I miss miss my dolphin friends each morning while enjoying my coffee!

This is the 2nd year in a row we’ve stayed in DW #402! David was excellent to work with, with quick response time both stays. You won’t be disappointed staying in this fabulous 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with a bunk room that has a door for privacy. The unit is beachfront & the large balcony wraps around in order to see the beautiful pool also. Give it a try, you’ll love it too!!

Our stay at was absolutely perfect! Destin West 402 had everything we needed and then some. It's right on the beach with a perfect view of the gulf waters. You can see the whole pool from around the side of the porch so I was able to keep an eye on my older daughter while I was upstairs with the baby. The condo was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed and had some extras that came in really handy! The beds were comfortable and the sheets were soft and not scratchy at all. Towels were huge and soft. Having a good kitchen was key for our visit because we didn't plan on eating out due to all the crowds and this one had everything we needed. The pools are big enough (and there are enough of them) that it was easy to keep a good social distance even on a crowded weekend. This was our third time staying at Destin West and this condo was by far our favorite! I truly can't say enough good things and can't wait for our next visit!!

If you want to have the perfect view of the ocean from Okaloosa Island, this is the condo for you! With its wrap around porch and relaxing chairs, you can just sit and enjoy your own personal view all day and night! If its the beach you want, you get two free beach chairs with an umbrella during certain months. We loved having our chairs waiting for us each day! The Master Bedroom has a walk out with a view of the ocean as well. The sounds of the waves will put you to sleep each evening. This unit has several upgrades and big spacious bedrooms with the most comfortable beds. Very clean and well taken care of. David Jenn and his Company are the only rental company we will use. You know you will get the best quality service, incredible easy communication, and extremely caring about their renters. They have a quick easy way to reserve your condo, with an easy payment method. They want you to have the best experience possible. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation! We can't wait to return :)

We have absolutely NO complaints of unit 402, it was just simply perfect. We had a full house, 7 people in total, 2 adults, 3 teenagers, 2 little ones. The beds were very comfortable, even my niece didn't mind the pull-out couch. They provided all of the things in the kitchen you need. The location was perfect for us and especially liked the elevator being outside our door and then steps to our pool. The walk to the Bayside wasnt that bad and we really enjoyed our day in the lazy river. Little tip, this condo is Gulf Front so your walk from the car is a little far, when checking in be sure to hunt down a cart to get your stuff to the room : )

We found this property on a last minute trip to Destin area and we are so glad we did. The property is situated in a great location near to restaurants and other tourist hotspots. The views were exceptional bc the property is at the end of the building over looking the ocean. The property has just been recently painted so the place had a fresh feel. Another benefit that the elevator was literally right outside the door so it was easy access to the pool and the beach walk. The beds were all comfortable. While we didn’t cook the kitchen still had enough room to do so if we wanted. Overall this is a prime spot with great amenities. If possible we will be back soon.

First let me say the only reason i booked through them was the low fees compared to all the other rental agencies. Most agencies charge you a ton of fees and you must pay half of the rental amount upfront. When i saw the deposit was only $300. and allowed you to make payments I booked immediately. This family owned company is the best and allowed me to book a vacation for my foster children by allowing payments, with that being said....Everything was absolutely perfect!! Better than i expected! The furniture, paint color and decor have all been updated giving it a more beachy feel. This condo superseded our expectations! This was by far the easiest company I have encountered to book through. It was a learning curve when trying to figure out how to get to our room from the parking garage and which elevator to use to get to our condo. We basically ended up walking from the garage to our room and only utilized elevator to go to ground level. The elevator is located right in front of this condo and takes you right to pool which was excellent for us. This was our first time staying at a resort of this size so we were completely naive in that area. I think the best part was the beach chairs that were set up daily. So accommodating to not have to lug alot of stuff to the beach. Also check the closet prior to buying beach toys and such because on our last day we noticed they had some. The next best thing that we honestly didn't expect to use much was the washer and dryer, we used it everyday! The resort nor the one next door no longer has a splash pad for kids, but with a little stroll down the beach to the boardwalk the kids enjoyed a few splash toys there and played in the sand while we enjoyed a few drinks. :-) We did utilize all the amenities at the resort as well as the spacious balcony. No regrets as this was the best and most relaxing week of my life, thus far! Thank you Coastal Vibes Vacation rentals, looking forward to our next trip through you!

We've vacationed in Ft Walton Beach for decades and this is truly one of the best condos we've stayed in. We spent many hours on the balcony enjoying the view! We enjoyed the gulfside pool more than the bayside, but we're beach people and it was simply closer. It's a short walk to the pier and boardwalk with several choices for restaurants. Lunch at the Crab Trap is one of our family traditions. If you're looking for fantastic seafood at incredible prices, make the trip to Stewby's which is a few miles away and inland. No views to speak of, but the food is the best! They're due to open another location on Okaloosa Island this summer too. My daughter is a dolphin fanatic and we enjoyed watching them swim by in the morning and afternoon. We also traveled to Panama City for a dolphin swim at Gulf World, but previous years have visited the Gulfarium right next door. Both are very nice. We would definitely recommend Gulfside 402 to family and friends and hope to be back very soon!

I thought this unit has the best view in the whole complex. Although the weather was a bit colder than what we wanted, we still enjoyed the stay. Some of pools in the complex are heated but the lazy river and the main pool on the golf side were not heated and were too cold to use during our stay. The beach was beautiful, clean and the beach service was awesome and included which was really nice.

We enjoyed our stay very much..We had stayed in this unit before and it is really nice..I thought check in was 3:00 instead of 4:00 and housekeeping was still cleaning the unit when we arrived but helped us put our things in the unit and go eat while they finished cleaning... The unit could use some small repairs(door knob on closet door, kitchen faucet, touch-up paint on wall scratches) but these did not hinder our stay.

Our family of five had a great time in this condo! Wonderful beachfront views! On three of the nights that we were there we were able to watch fireworks from our balcony. The weather wasn’t the greatest at first, tropical storm Alberto made it’s arrival. Coastal Vibe Vacations had a representative come out on that day to deliver a “survival bag” to it’s renters. It contained redbox movie codes, popcorn, skittles, a word search book, an adult coloring book, and Crayola color pencils. I thought that was excellent customer service! We were also able to check-in a little early when we arrived. Great stay and great rental company! We will definitely book with them again!

The perfect location at Destin West! Upon check-in we noticed the refrigerator had a water leak. I contacted Mr. Jenn & inside of 10 minutes the repairman had it fixed! This unit is directly on the beach with awesome views (we have seen dolphin from our balcony every year). It is decorated beautifully and appointed with all the details that make your vacation effortless. We have stayed in this unit for many years and are so spoiled that we refuse to rent any other unit. Our last stay was even better because David Jenn helped set us up with a boat slip on the bay side, so my husband who is a fishing enthusiast could bring his own boat and fish every day. It is the perfect unit in the perfect vacation spot with something for everyone to do. We enjoy the views, the beach, the pools, the lazy river, the splash park, the hot tubs, the pier, the restaurants and shops and now we can also enjoy boating in the bay! It is an annual family tradition that my entire family looks forward to!

We had a great week at Gulfside 402. David Jenn was very helpful, prompt, and professional in assisting with any of our concerns. He provided great reviews of local restaurants and things to do prior to our arrival and well laid-out instructions for our arrival, our stay, and our departure. He also was very quick to lend a helping hand to any items I may have overlooked. There were no concerns related to this condo. It is one of the ten best units in the Destin West complex, partially because of its location and views of the Gulf. The condo was clean and very well appointed (make sure you look under the beds and in the closets for everything that can be used at the beach!) Kitchen was well-stocked and water pressure was great. Beds were very comfortable and additional pillows and blankets were provided throughout. Five minute walk to the lazy river (across the bridge) and the gulfside pool is an easy elevator ride down. The beach, itself, is not crowded; especially when compared to some of Destin's beaches. Destin West is maintained very well. The grounds are clean and special care is taken throughout the complex. The complex is within close proximity of restaurants, attractions, a grocery store, and Destin. I spent a great deal of time looking at dozens, maybe hundreds of places to stay for our vacation in the area, and I genuinely believe that this condo is one of the best. The cost is more than fair and delivers a fantastic value. Thank you for an incredible week, David!

We loved our beachfront condo at Destin West! Our view was beautiful! The pools are fantastic. Our teenage kids enjoyed the pools & lazy river more than the beach! We booked with David & Jenn 402 beachfront & were extremely pleased. The beach water was not at its greatest during our stay but the great condo & pools & then the shrimp boil & fireworks (next door at Ramada kept us entertained. There is so much to do here. The lazy river is a major plus for the kids while the beautiful view & convenience of the beach was what we adults were looking for! Loved our stay & plan to do this again next year! My family has been vacationing at Destin West for over 10 years now. We have stayed in many different units over the years, but none of them compare to Gulf 402. This condo is not only beautifully decorated, but it also has a wonderful view and a very well stocked kitchen! We celebrated Thanksgiving in this unit in 2014 and the kitchen had everything necessary to cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner! Our most recent stay was in June of 2016 and we were delighted to find a brand new Keurig coffee maker! Frank and his wife go out of their way to make sure they have taken care of all of the 'special touches' that make your vacation enjoyable! They take care of all of the details, so all you have to do is enjoy yourself on the beach!

This was my first trip to the area for a family visit with an elderly parent. We initially planned on two hotel rooms for the trip but after researching VRBO, we found this rental. The location, the layout of the condo, the amenities and the view were all AMAZING! We inquired and the owner responded quickly to all of my questions and was so pleasant to deal with. There was no doubt that this was such a better plan than the hotel rooms. I can't say enough about how beautiful the condo is and the view from the balcony is priceless. There is so much to do within walking distance of this rental. Would be a great place to stay for groups of all ages. Would love to come back again for a girls weekend and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

This was our 13th year to vacation in the Ft. Walton/Destin area, and our third year in the Destin West Resort/Condos. I can honestly say that the view from this condo made this our best trip ever. Every morning we were out on the balcony drinking our coffee watching the dolphins and the amazing view. In fact most of the time that we were in the condo was spent out on the balcony with comfortable seating. This condo is beautiful. They had everything we needed with all the comforts of home. This resort offers so much to do that I'm not sure why you would go to Destin and fight the traffic/crowds. From the beach to the bay, the Ramada beach bar (one of our favorite spots), the lazy river, the "quite" pool on the beach side, all the hot-tubs, the amazing pool at the Ramada with the swim up bar, the splash pad for the young kids, catching blue crabs in the bay during the day, to catching the white sand crabs on the ocean at night, and even renting a pontoon boat on the bay side, or even walking down to the fishing pier to see fish, dolphins, turtles and sharks. You can do all this without ever getting in your car. There are places to eat at Ramada or even at the boardwalk just a short walk down the beach. Save money and eat in when you can. You just can't beat this Condo or this resort.

We have stayed in Destin/Sandestin area for years and we tried this unit in Destin West for the first time and LOOVED IT. Had 4 kids (11 - 15) in tow and there cannot be a better property in Destin. First - Awesome location of the unit… directly on the ocean with 180 degree views. Parking garage is super close, carts etc make it easy to load and unload and close proximity to Publix. Second - Low traffic but still close to all restaurants in Destin. Simple 7 minute drive to the emerald grande area with that areas over-populated, but fun atmosphere. Third - Beach Service everyday...Tiki Hut on beach for drinks and food…. added benefit is walking to 5 restaurants at the boardwalk. Plus - a complete additional recreation area with pools and lazy river on the inter coastal makes for a nice change of pace but even more fun! Lastly - The unit is exceptionally clean, decorated and owner was very helpful and cooperative. Super nice showers and floors make it feel super clean. Again, we had our doubts coming west but after this week in this unit we will never go back to traffic laden, overcrowded beaches and poor value. This unit has it all!!!! BTW - If you want to go deep sea fishing use 5th Amendment… We chartered, just the 6 of us, and went out 20 miles for 6 hours and caught over 50 unbelievable fish…. Captain Chuck and his deckhand Nick had our kids baiting, reeling and catching fish for the entire time… That was truly a memorable moment!

Thank you for the wonderful review. We try our best to make this unit the best one at Destin West. The multiple advantages of this location are what caused us to vacation here multiple times before buying one unit in 2007 and this one in 2011.

We spent 2 wonderful months in this condo, which is well stocked and beautifully decorated. The views from the balcony were amazing! The owner of the condo and the staff at Destin West were readily available if there were any issues. There are many fine restaurants and shops within walking distance. You can walk forever on the long stretch of beautiful beach. We have already booked it for another 2 months next year and we are looking forward once again to our time in paradise.

We stayed in this extremely clean unit last summer and had an excellent time. You cannot beat the location and most importantly the view from the wrap around patio. The beach and exercise facility is right below you and the lazy river a short trip across the bridge. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the updated flat screens were most welcome when it was time to wind down in the evening. The beach service that was included in the rate was a huge bonus as well. The only downside was that I let my in-laws sleep in the master bedroom ;) . We will be returning to Destin West this summer but might stay in a different unit because it will be just my family and we do not need the extra room. Once you stay in this unit it will be hard to want to stay anywere else!

Our stay at your condo was fantastic. The view from the wrap-around balcony was spectacular and the furnishings were tasteful and practical. Our kids loved that we saw dolphins most mornings as we ate breakfast on the balcony. The property location was great with quick access to the beach and main pool, and the amenities included access to several other pools, hot tubs and lazy river. Loved the extras such as boogie boards, sand buckets, pool noodles, drying rack, hair dryers, etc. Ideas: a small ice chest would have been nice to take to the beach or pool.
