Destin West - Gulfside 111

Condo had everything we needed. Cooked in a couple times and the unit was furnished nicely. Used the hot tubs and pools everyday. Had a minor door issue which was taken care in a matter of hours. Awesome check in and check out procedures plus plenty of parking. Close to everything we needed too, plus a couple of the tips given were spot on.

We love Destin West Gulfside. Our condo was wonderful, and we have stayed in that one a couple of times. It's up to date and has everything we would need. It's walkable to many of our favorite dinner places and the beach was great all week! We would love to come back!

I loved the convenience of the pool and beach. I also loved that there were so many pools to choose from. I was a bit confused about where to park and get to the condo but it was so convenient. I pulled right into the ground floor of the parking garage and it was just a few steps to the door of the condo. For groceries and luggage there are caddies available that you can roll right to your car. You will see them near the door to the condo by the elevators. The bed was clean and the bedding was. Dry comfortable. All the appliances worked well. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would go again.

Impressed with onsite property staff.. They kept the property in pristine shape. Although the pump to the main pool went out on the gulfside, there were other options to enjoy. The condo was also very nice and convenient considering our specific needs.

Best location with kids, so many things to do, 1 min to walk to the beach, easy jump to pool and hot tub from patio, having lunch and dinners on your patio, lazy river, marina snorkelling, jet ski.Its not quite though, get your sound machine or fan with you. Lots of people coming here to have parties. Overall resort is kept clean and well maintained. All great restaurants are near you. .

We had a great stay in this Villa. We loved that you could open the patio door and the pool was right there. It was a quick walk down the beach to the The Boardwalk where there are many cool shops and great restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone and we would definitely stay here again.

We love Destin West Gulfside & have stayed in a few different condos with the similar layout but this one has a door for the bunk beds which is very helpful for naptime & being on the ground floor is a major plus - would definitely stay here again.

Convenient 1st level condo! We enjoyed our stay! Would suggest replacing or fixing the sliding patio door as it was difficult to open and close. A full length mirror would also be a nice addition. The condo was clean and well equipped, we would come back! We also love the location of this property. Close to multiple restaurants within walking distance. Check out Rick's on the Island. Never disappoints and they will cook your fresh caught fish!

We had an issue with our microwave but wasn't too concerned about it, but customer service made sure to take care of things while we were there and it not be any inconvenience to us at all. This condo is just right outside the walkway to the beach or pool….. Master bedroom is very roomy. Bunkroom has a bathroom with shower. The living arena has a sofa couch and comfy as well. Easy access to loading and unloading your luggage. No elevators or steps to climb….. my ideal for relaxing on the beach 🏖

If you want something bottom floor, and close to the beach this is it. Many things to do at this resort and can sit right outside your room and look at the pool. Perfect for a young family that doesn’t need a lot of room.

This is the perfect little location. It is just a few miles from the heart of Destin and is conveniently located around many restaurants and fun activities. I DEFINITELY recommend AJ’s Dolphin Cruise - “The Seaquest”. That was probably the highlight of our trip. We saw SO many dolphins and enjoyed an hour and a half boatride. The crew we were with was Cody and Blake. They made the whole experience worth every dime. Staying at this condo, you are just STEPS away from both the pool and the beach. Not just one pool, but MULTIPLE (and multiple hot tubes!) There is also a lazy river which is nice to relax in. We had no idea just how large the resort is. There is a Gulf side and a Bay side. The condo is on the Gulf side but it was fun to venture over to the Bay side (where the lazy river and a couple other pools are located). We loved it! David is quick to respond to any questions or concerns you may have. My family and I will most definitely be staying here again!

Amazing! Wonderful! Perfect for our family. The condo is adorable, clean, and had everything we needed. I loved being on the 1st floor, steps away from the pool and beach. It was a sweet surprise when I realized how close the beach and beach access was. (Great for lugging a 2 year old and all the things)
We walked to the Boardwalk and Pier everyday and loved the Gulfarium that was Nextdoor. Perfect location.
David made the check in/out process easy with wonderful instructions. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

This property was everything we could have asked for. We had our 4 year old, 14 year old and his friend and staying on the ground unit was our favorite thing. The easy access to the pool was unbeatable because we were able to walk right out our door and be there. The same thing applies to the beach. We didn't have to take any stairs or elevators with all of our stuff in tow in order to get right to the beach which was absolutely amazing. The condo was pristine and clean just as the other reviews showed and they even gave us helpful tidbits about different places to try! The communication with the owners was so easy and their response time is unmatched. They answered all questions quickly for us and made checking in and out as simple as it comes. We will most definitely be booking with Coastal Vibes again!! Thanks for everything! :)

Our family enjoyed our stay. The condo was spacious, very clean and decorated with a cute coastal vibe! It was an easy walk to the beautiful beach and loved being able to use the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella instead of carrying a bunch of chairs out to the beach. Having door code entry verses room key was so convenient as most of the time we were in beach/swimwear. We enjoyed the pool and lazy River! It was the perfect location and we had many enjoyable evenings on the patio while our daughter played in the pool. We look forward to staying again in the future.

The location of this unit is perfect for those with kids who frequently run back and forth to the pool or beach. I will never stay anywhere but ground level for this reason. We had an awesome trip! The condo is even bigger than it looks, plenty of room for our family. The location is perfect, the adults were able to enjoy the pool while the kids took a break inside. This was our second year in a row renting from David and his team at Coastal Vibe Vacations, and it won’t be our last! David and his team were only a phone call or text away, and are always quick to reply to any questions we have had. They have been very pleasant to deal with during our last two stays with them. This ground floor property has a massive pool and jacuzzi just steps off the large back porch! It was also very convenient to the private beach with umbrella and chairs included. Inside was very clean and stocked with all the amenities of home. We loved our stay here and will be booking this property again in 2022!

We spent a week at the Destin West Gulfside 111. Our condo was clean and comfortable! It was updated and decorated so cute. I normally value a good view, but our walkout to the pool and hot tub was so ideal for having kids. The ease and convenience of the location was perfect for us. My kids loved the bunk room-equipped with a tv. (We don't allow tv in their bedrooms at home-but...vacation!) The whole complex was great and the beach was impeccable. There was a lovely security guard named Mary who we adored. She was so kind and kept an eye on everything. She was great with our kids. Lastly, I appreciated the great communication from booking to arrival, to departure from our hosts. It was all so great!!!

We wanted to go to Destin to get away from the Midwest winters. We loved our stay in Destin West Gulfside! It was even nicer then the pictures and we thought the pictures were outstanding. All the communication was great beforehand and then as we were leaving. We loved the access to the beach and the pool/hot tub. There were restaurants on the beach not far away that were great too. It really was beyond even what we expected and it allowed us to be able to be outside on a lovely beach and enjoying the community. We would recommend it to our friends and family. We are so grateful for the cleanliness and comfort and provision for everything we needed to have an awesome vacation.

Nice central location for exploring the area along the Gulf! Loved the walkout patio for direct access to the pool area, and we loved how close this is to the beach. Listing description states newly remodeled, but the dishwasher is very old and the racks kept falling off the track. Patio door is very difficult to open. The smaller bathroom shower could use an update. Very small and nowhere to put shampoo bottles. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

This property was the perfect blend of fun and relaxation! The pool and hot tub were literally steps away from the patio, and the beach just a short jaunt. The area offers a lot of activities, but we ended up spending most of our time right on the property. The people were friendly and courteous of each other and their space, and the grounds were kept up very well. The home itself was plenty spacious, and the kitchen was perfect for making a full Thanksgiving meal. I definitely look forward to booking another stay in the future!

Our condo was very clean and well appointed. My almost 2 year old and 9 year old stayed in the bunk room and I actually got a full Night of sleep which never happens at home! Being on the ground floor beside the pool and close to the beach walk was very convenient. Especially for naps, I would bring a baby monitor and could sit by the pool as it was just 10 feet or less from my back door! There is a little noise to be heard in the master bedroom as it faces the elevator vestibule which can get loud as groups are coming and going. I wasn’t expecting it, but it quieted down around 11 or so. We never heard any pool noise at night! If the property was to ever make a change, I would suggest a sliding barn door or something for the bunk room to help young sleepers with light and noise. But even without it, we didn’t have an issue and would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful week!

I literally do not have one bad thing to say about this property! The condo was exactly as described in the listing. Beautiful accommodations. Very pretty decor. Very comfortable beds. Very spacious layout. Adequately supplied kitchen. Wonderful, large patio area. Although we normally book “ocean views,” we ADORED being on the ground floor by the pool! The kids LOVED it and we LOVED not having to haul stuff on elevators! The pool is so large that even staying on the busiest week of the Summer (the week of July 4th), we never felt crowded. When we went to the beach, it was soooo nice having the beach service to set up our chairs & umbrella—something we’ve always done ourselves. The lazy river & pools at the adjacent property across the street were beautiful & relaxing also! Every detail down to the parking & grilling areas was superb! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! And if all the above isn’t enough to rebook, I cannot say enough good things about David & the other staff at Coastal Vibe. David, we love you and we can’t thank you enough for the awesome, prompt communication! You & your incredible staff are what really MADE our week vacation PERFECT! Loved the location. Right on the beach... just a few steps away from the beach and right on the poolside deck. Great for a small family. You can walk down the beach to restaurants, walk over the pedestrian bridge to go to the other pools and lazy river. Beach service is really nice- I recommend going out to the beach really early to get a good spot! ❤️

We have a 6, 4 and twins that are almost 2 - this condo was perfect location! We all swam, could walk into patio for snacks/bathroom AND when twins were asleep we would sit on patio/by the condo while others swam so you weren’t missing out on the fun! The condo is easy to access the parking garage. It was clean, had essential things like cleaner, soap and a few pods for laundry. It has tons of sand toys and boogie boards along with a cooler and sand cart. The only downside is you can hear pool noise inside, but it closes at 11pm then it’s quiet! We will be back!

We could not have had a better time! The condo was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. We loved having the pool and hot tub steps from the back sliding door and the beach was close and beautiful. Even though the temps were on the cool side, we swam in all the pools, the lazy river and played in the waves on the beach daily. We let Ole Times Buffet do the cooking on Thanksgiving Day (which was absolutely delicious) after spending the morning fishing in the Gulf with Captain Gary O. Hands down, the most relaxing, stress and anxiety-free Thanksgiving I have ever experienced. My hubby and our three teen-aged children truly look forward to spending another rejuvenating week in condo #111 and would absolutely recommend it to everyone we know, especially those with children. Thank you for an amazing week!

We have stayed at Destin West for the last 5 years and this unit was by far the best. The decor is recently updated and they did a great job maximizing the space in the condo while remaining perfectly functional for our young family. The convenience to the pools and beach access are unbeatable and the owners stayed in contact with us to make sure checking in and out were a breeze. Everything you need is here. Fully-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, shaded patio area that leads directly to the pool, short walk to the beach, two beach chairs and an umbrella included. There is another smaller pool on this side of the complex that is nicely shaded. Walk across the pedestrian bridge to the bay side, where there are four more small pools and a lazy river. There are community grills for your use. The unit is clean and comfortable. The owner communicates with you while you're there to make sure you have everything you need. I have nothing but good things to say about it. This is our second stay at Destin West. We love the property.

We’ve stayed at Destin West a number of times, but never on the Gulf side. We enjoyed being able to walk right out to the beach. No hot elevator rides. The music at the Ramada/ Islanders was a little too loud one night for what appeared to be a wedding reception but they finished up before it got too late.

This condo was perfect for my husband and I and our 3 kids. We could just walk out the back door and be at the pool or take a little walk over the small wooden boardwalk and be on the powdery white beach. The chairs and umbrella are included with the room too! We would much rather stay on Okaloosa Island, rather than in Destin. Plenty of places to eat and things to do right on the island.

This condo was perfect for our family. Poolside, patio, right on the beach. We saved so much time by staying ground level with kids. The condo is clean and nice. Having access to several pools and hot tubs was perfect. Our kids have already asked to stay there again. If you have little ones, this is the condo for you. We used the complimentary beach service so we were not hauling chairs or umbrella to the beach. When we needed a snack, I could simply run in and grab food and be back in just a few minutes. The back patio makes it so easy to leave wet/sandy items outside to dry off. The condo has 2 showers which makes getting ready for dinner so much faster. We were able to pack less for our 7 day trip due to the washer/dryer in the condo. We also met the nicest families who were also ground level around the pool. Our kids made friends and so did I. We can not recommend this condo enough.

DESTIN WEST GULFSIDE 111 IS A NO BRAINER!! SHORT WALK TO THE PRIVATE BEACH AND THE POOL AND HOT TUB RIGHT OUTSIDE THE BACK SLIDING GLASS DOOR. THE BEACH SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH, JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET THERE EARLY TO RESERVE A FRONT ROW SPOT TO THE OCEAN! FROM THE GULFARIUM, THE FISHING ON THE PEIR, THE ARCADE ACROSS THE STREET, ROCKIN TACOS, AND THE DESTIN HARBOR WALK A SHORT DRIVE, THIS PLACE WAS EVERYTHING WE EXPECTED AND MORE! DAVID WAS AWESOME TO WORK WITH AND EVERYTHING WAS JUST AS ADVERTISED. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT AND I KNOW MY FAMILY WILL BE BACK. I AM A REPEAT RENTER AT DESTIN WEST AND HOPEFULLY CAN GET BACK SOON. THANKS!!

From the virtual pictures we had received before we came down, everything was what we expected. From the informative emails David sent us, we were totally prepared. Loved the bottom unit with nice patio and steps to the pool and hot tub. We knew we wouldn't see the gulf from our unit, but, the short walk to the beach each day was nice. lots to do in walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants for happy hour, to using the walk bridge to the Bayside for an Adventure Park and Mini Mart/gas station. Weather was high 60's to low 70's, which was nice. We had 3 days of heavy fog, sun and 2 days of rain for the two weeks we were there. Still walked everyday but two. Sad note, They did maintanance cleaning and painting on the outsides of every unit, which took up a whole week that we were unable to use the main deck and pool. They needed to use and keep a Boom Lift in the pool area, so it was a big inconvenience for everyone not to be able to enjoy that huge area outside our glass doors. We used the smaller, heated pool area and the beach, which we were thankful for. We made our stay fun. David did a wonderful job informing us with his emails and Pre- Arrival Tips so that we were all prepared for our stay. Nice Time.

From first communication with David we’ve felt completely taken care of. We were absolutely delighted with the unit location on the property. Just 25 feet from the circle drive entrance. Move in for the week took just minutes and the private poolside patio is something we will never again do without. We simply wandered back and forth from condo to pool as we wanted. Just 25 feet from our patio door. No need to pack up everything to leave the condo for the day. Just like being at home. Access to the on-site deep water marina was our main search initially as we brought our boat to fish throughout the week. Guys could easily stop in mid-day for a break. Night fishing proved ideal as access was 24 hours. Chair service at the beach was just as accommodating. Staff knew our names and location preferences by the second day. All we needed was sunscreen and towels. Our other priority was to avoid an outdated environment inside. The condo decor was lovely, currently styled and vacation friendly. As we searched we realized so many of the properties Coastal Vibe offers are decorated beautifully. PLENTY of towels!!! This was a big thing for us. Household supply of paper goods etc were plentiful. We had everything we needed for a family of four. As with any home sometimes things need attention. Our first night we realized the shower was slow to drain during use. Something that could have easily gone undetected during routine maintenance checks. As David noted, he asked us to contact him if we had any concerns. A quick text that evening assured us Jonathan would be in the next morning to take care of us. No trouble at all. That prompt response alone was a difference maker. Much needed downtime did not go without the need for devices. WiFi speed was quick even with all four phones in use at once. A necessity with teenagers. Simply put... we will be back and will be staying here.

Property had so much to offer. Beach, 2 heated pools, 3 hot tubs, 2 big pools. Thats without using the Ramada properties bc it was closed when we were there. Great staff, great accomodations, and owners were easy to contact for questions.

We have stayed in this property for the last two years, and we plan to go back. We have 3 small children so staying on the ground floor makes it that much easier to get to the pool and beach, so the convenience can't be overstated. Moreover the inside of the condo is very kid friendly, meaning not a lot of fragile decorations for curious little boys to break :) Additionally the beach service that came with the room was also a lifesaver. Didn't have to pack chairs or shade which was a must. Finally the resort itself was great. We took advantage of pretty much every pool and hot tub on the gulfside, bayside and at the Ramada. My oldest son especially liked the lazy river. All around it was a great stay and great vacation. Thanks!
