Destin West - Heron 603

Four of us stayed for a week for our annual girl’s trip, class of ‘70. Beds and baths are wonderful and it is SO spacious. We loved the balcony, and the furniture and decor are lovely. We appreciated the beach chairs and the large TV screen in the living room.

Loved the bay view. Seen dolphins a couple times from the balcony. The 85 inch TV for watching the games. The pools and the lazy river were awesome. My favorite place we have stayed in the Destin okaloosa area!

We had a great time with our kids and grandkids! We thoroughly enjoyed the condo and amenities! Loved that each room had its own bathroom plus an extra half bath! Plenty of room for everyone! The balcony was awesome, very spacious. We have stayed in many condos over the years but the layout and space here was perfect! This condo exceeded our expectations. Since we were three generations staying together, we had searched for a property that was not only large on the interior, but also offered the opportunity to spend time on the exterior. Thus, the balcony was huge and that is where we spent so much time overlooking the Bay. Management made check-in and check-out so easy. Everything was as it was described. Our thanks and gratitude!

Condo and facilities were exactly as described. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked including larger pots and pans and a slow cooker that came in handy for us. Everyone at Coastal Vibes was great to work with. Detailed instructions were sent before we arrived and provided quick response (within hours) to some minor issues that I thought would would be handled after we left.

We do an annual family trip each year and this one was the best. We had a party of 9 and this condo had plenty of space where everyone was not crowded. It was fully stocked. What an awesome place to stay! The outdoor space was fantastic. Multiple pools, lazy river, easy beach access, and green space with charcoal grills. The condo was very spacious and included all the amenities mentioned and more. The wifi was fast and reliable. We were vacationing with a 3, 2, and 2 month old and the property was perfect for all of them. We watched the sunrise from the awesome wrap around balcony. I loved the communications from the property owners. All my questions were answered without me having to ask. The emails were friendly and very informative. We are already planning our next visit and have recommended it to multiple friends and family members. Don't forget to go next door to Rick's for fresh shrimp. I can't imagine a better time!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo met all our expectations. We did have a problem with ice maker not making any ice while we were there. No problem as we purchased ice while we were out. The only other thing that we had was no broom was in the condo and as we had toddlers we had to constantly break out vacuum when a broom and a dustpan would have made it easier. We stayed in Phoenix 2022 and Heron 2023. Definitely will return.

The view over the bay was beautiful and peaceful. We ate every meal on the deck. The pools were very nice and the lazy river was relaxing. The walk along the bay was also very nice as well as the picnic areas. Condo was spacious and had everything we needed. Walk to beach wasn’t bad other than walking through parking garage to get there.

This place is wonderful! Very spacious unit and gorgeous grounds! The kids spent more time in the lazy River than the beach. And we spent a lot of time on the huge balcony. There were enough chairs for all ten of us. The bay was a wonderful view with a morning cup of coffee! I do have a suggestion for the unit. There is space in the smaller guest room with the king bed to put a chest of drawers or a dresser. We typically like to unpack our belongings when we stay for a week instead of living out of suitcases A chest would've been nice. Also, a few more hand towel and washcloths would've been helpful. Overall though this place is amazing and we would definitely return!!

We have stayed at Destin West many times over the years, but Heron 603 is by far the best room with the best view. We have a large family from grandparents to school age kids and this unit easily accommodated all of us. The views of the sunrise and sunset over the bay from the balcony were absolutely breathtaking. The bonus bar on the balcony has a fridge which holds a lot of drinks and is super convenient on hot summer days. Watching the boats and wildlife in the bay provided hours of entertainment and a relaxing view. Access to all of the pools was easy and convenient. Our only complaint is that we will have to wait until next year for our next vacation! =)

My wife and I enjoyed our 6 weeks in this condo. The view over the Bay is impressive. There is always something to watch, wind surfers, kite surfers, paddle board sailing, Air Force planes, fishing boats, tug boats and barges, and plenty of fish and Manta Rays to keep your eyes busy. The dolphins are there playing just beyond the pier. Sunrises are fantastic. With a 600 square foot corner balcony, there is always a place to sit on it, even in the rain, to enjoy the Florida Panhandle. The dining room is surrounded by glass on two sides so every meal has an enjoyable view. This was our Third time in 4 years renting this condo. Obviously, we really enjoy our stay. It is also our 5th rental with David at Coastal Vibes Vacations. We are very happy with his staff and service.

This is my family's 2nd year staying at a Coastal Vibes Vacation property and we have no complaints. Both years, we had to contact the property owners upon check-in due to a broken lock on the bathroom door (last year) and a stopped up sink (this year) and they had maintenance stop by immediately and rectify the issue. And the maintenance man was so nice and even provided us with a couple of his favorite places to eat! 😁 We will definitely look at future vacations with Coastal Vibe Vacations as everything from booking, check-in/check-out, maintenance requests, general questions, etc… is handled so quickly and effectively and with such friendliness! Thank you to Coastal Vibe for opening up your property for me and my family to create even more great memories together!!

This was the first family trip that we have taken since 2014 so we were all super excited to get to spend a week at the beach together. The condo was great. We had a total of 9 people and we had plenty of room. The condo was well equipped and decorated. The balcony was AMAZING. We spent a considerable amount of time at the pools and lazy river since the beach was double red flags all week. They were all well maintained and plenty of room. I would not hesitate to book this condo again for future trips.

This condo is gorgeous! The interior is beautiful and spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked and easy to cook in. The view is spectacular to enjoy on the huge patio. We loved the location because it allowed us to walk to restaurants and activities. There are numerous pools and plenty of lounge chairs to use. The beach is beautiful and easy to get to. This space came as advertised. Plenty of room for our 6 adults to spread out and relax or come together to play games. We spent many evenings sitting on the patio watching the sun set or the moon rise while having a glass of wine (the only thing not in order was the wet bar that was listed but this was not a problem for us).
We took advantage of the resorts pools on the warmer days and walked across the skywalk to the beach when the sun was shining the warmest.
The kitchen was well appointed for what we needed as we made most of our meals in to avoid crowds.
This was a good location to spend in or get out and see the sights.

we love destin west beach and bayside. our condo was amazing...enough bathrooms for everyone to take showers!!! we watched dolphins in the bay from our awesome balcony. david jenn is very easy to rent from, getting into the condo is very easy and leaving is easy. this makes our third trip to destin west and our second time booking with david jenn. im sure it wont be our last. we were already talking about coming back on our way home. thanks for sharing your beautiful condo with us.

We love this condo and complex so much! This is the second time this summer that we have stayed here. We stayed 11 days at the beginning of summer and stayed 2 weeks this time. We stayed with adults this trip and it was wonderful. I love the size of the condo and the layout and the kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. The extra drink fridge on the balcony comes in really handy as well. It has a wonderful walk in pantry which is rare in a lot of condos. The view just can not be beat! We love the complex because of all of the options for pools and the gulf. It is a hike to get to the beach though. Just be prepared. David and Jen are easy to work with and I love renting through them. We will be back next summer!

If you want a great place to stay with a wonderful location this is it. We took 10 kids for a senior trip and the set up was awesome! The condo is bigger than it looks, with the master being ex-large! The bathroom is massive and the closet could literally be another small bedroom if needed. The L shaped porch with loungers and tables is amazing. You overlook the bay and the pool. It’s on the corner which is the best location! There’s also a wet bar on the patio that was unexpected. The master is away from the other 2 bedrooms which was perfect for us. The girls stayed in one and the boys in another! There is an extra powder bath also. The washer and dryer were very handy. We made use of the rentals next door that were literally 20 steps from when you exit the elevator. We rented a boat and it was only an 8 min boat ride to Crab Island! We also rented the jet skis from there. Crab Trap is across the street and offers great food! The skywalk takes you to the beach so it’s kinda a walk. The owners provide u with a wagon and a couple of chairs/umbrella. The beach was really crowded but with Covid we expected it. The pools and lazy river were the best. We floated the river everyday! You might bring an extra small tube or 2 because sometimes there was not enough. Don’t try and go without your bands, they ask every time! Although we didn’t use the boat slips at the condo we did walk and check them out because we own a boat at home. You can rent them for your stay and they are well maintained. It is a gated (code entrance) to enter the dock. The slips are well lite and each have their own utility box for plug ins and rinse station. It looked new. We saw several people fishing from the dock.
I would recommend this condo for the value, location and owners always answered our many questions 😂.

We loved this condo! The view is awesome! The balcony is really nice and you can watch both sunrise and sunset from there. The condo is well stocked and beds and furniture is comfortable. David and Jen were very easy to work with. The booking process and communication was wonderful - even with the pandemic issues. We were having so much fun we extended our stay by 3 nights. Destin Westin has beautiful pools and the best lazy river I have ever been in. There are lots of options and you never get bored. We have already booked for another stay!

Beautiful and clean condo. Unbelievable balcony to watch the sunrise. Lazy River was a lot of fun but there could be a pool that is deeper what's the deepest one that I saw was around 5.5 ft. Great common charcoal barbecuing area. Overall I would highly recommend. My family and I had an excellent time.

This condo is very nice. The beds and pillows are comfy. You can watch the sun rise from the rooms. You have to walk a little far to get to the beach. It is a good walk for the aldults but it is far for the children under 6 to walk. My children are enjoyed the bay because they dont have to walk far. They can see fishes, baby stingray, baby craps, and pick up hermet crabs in the bay. Overall we had a great time at this condo. I would rent this condo again.

We loved this condo! It had everything we needed! The 3 1/2 baths are awesome for large family! The extra beach toys and wagon are a really nice plus! The sunrise views are amazing! We have been coming to the Destin West property for over 10 years. It is one of our very favorite spots to vacation! The lazy river, the beach and the other pools that are accessible thru Destin West are a win-win! The Heron 603 is absolutely our favorite condo we have stayed at. It is near the water and you get a view of the Destin skyline in the distance. We love the location which is a short drive into Destin and also right across the street from the Boardwalk with restaurants and outdoor patios to enjoy the beach. We would highly recommend the Heron 603 to friends and relatives. It is one of the few that has a private bath off of each of the 3 bedrooms. The view of the lazy river is perfect. We watched the sailboats from our balcony and had the most relaxing time. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Wow. Sitting on the balcony is just like sitting on a cruise ship. All you see is water and you will not get seasick! Last year we spent 30 days in this great condo and this year we spent almost 70 days there. Sitting in the large dining room surrounded by glass enhances the meal every time. With three guest rooms, each with private bath, you can have visitors and still have your space. The location with a crossover pedestrian bridge to the beach makes it an ideal place to stay in Fort Walton. It is the only one with a pedestrian crossover making it safe for kids of all ages. Looking out from the huge wraparound balcony there is always something to watch. Boats and barges go by, kite surfers are usually in the bay. Boat rental and paddle board rental is next door. Dolphins swim in the bay, lots of stingrays crawl on the bottom and the water was always clear so you could see them and sometimes schools of fish. The national seashore is a 5 minute walk along the bay side. Destin and Fort Walton beach have all the needed stores and restaurants for everyone to be happy. Property manager David Jenn makes it easy to rent and he is always available on the phone or by message.

Our family's stay in Heron 603 was amazing! This was the first time we had been on vacation with our adult children and their children. We had plenty of space for time spent together as well as being able to be alone. The whole family loved the pools and lazy river. The view was amazing from the wrap around porch. The photos of our rental were exactly as we found the condo! No let down. We spent lots of time on the balcony watching Air Force planes overhead, pelicans flying by at our level, dolphins, schools of fish, all sorts of birds, etc.With three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, there is plenty of room to hang out.Fishing boats pass by daily, barges, kayaks, and adventurous people kite-boarding in the bay, all create a great picture to watch as you enjoy sitting and standing on the corner balcony.We stayed the entire month of January 2017 and never had any bugs on the balcony. Eating out there and enjoying our morning coffee really made each day.The condo was very clean, lots of towels and a complete kitchen with just about everything you would need to cook. Be sure to bring your own spices, etc if you are making Spagetti sauceThe master bedroom, living room and dining room all have two walls of windows giving you the feeling of being on the back of a cruise ship without the motion of the ship.Publix is a short drive away and is a great grocery store. Floyds, all you eat popcorn shrimp from 4 to 6 daily (9.99), is a short walk across the walkway. Also across the walkway, you will find miles of Beach on the Gulf. Fort Walton Beach and Destin have all the restaurants you need to enjoy your vacation.Some pools are heated and enjoyed year round. The sun shines on the large courtyard. We will come back and relax again in this great rental.

We wanted to spend time with family and our grandson before he leaves for boot camp and this condo was perfect. The views from the balcony were spectacular. We saw dolphins, schools of fish, and fireworks in Destin all from the balcony. The condo is very spacious and fit all of our needs with room for everyone and everything. The resort is great and we enjoyed the lazy river several days. The location is perfect, close to restaurants, fishing, and many other activities. The condo was just amazing and very comfortable to my family. The bedrooms were large and very fitting to our needs. The kitchen was perfect and had all the pots, pans, and dishes to make meals in true comfort. We actually had a real dining room to sit and relax. The balcony was huge and shaded in the afternoon which made it a great place to relax with a glass of wine. We saw rays 5 days through the week and dolphins on 2 days right off the balcony. Once, while walking along the bay, the dolphins were chasing dinner, or playing, just a few yards away from us. It was exciting to us all as they put on quite a show. We had 2 eight year old girls with us and the pool area was just perfect in their eyes. They would go from the lazy river to the zero entry pool and back and forth. They had a blast and enjoyed swimming into the evening. We were comfortable with the layout, being an island surrounded by the lazy river, that our girls were in a safe zone. It was just perfect. Thank you very much for the kind help with fishing. Captain Gary was fantastic. We even caught a 8 foot bull shark, and no we didn't bring him in the boat, but along side for pictures. He was huge! The whole experience was easy and as amazing as we had hoped for. We will be back next year. Thank you David Jenn

The condo was laid out perfect for a large group, fully stocked to cover all of our needs. Any questions were answered immediately and dealing with Coastal Vibes Vacations was so easy. Our favorite part of the condo was the porch, great sunrises, sunsets, dolphin watching and the boat activity. We actually did less in Destin + Fort Walton this year because we had so much to do here! The amenities are perfect for kids of all ages and adults: work out facility, pools, lazy river and beach access....perfect! We also brought our boat and utilized the phenomenal boat slip offered, what a convenience! It was so easy to walk out of the condo down the pier and onto the water to tour the Bay, Destin Harbor, Crab Island and the many beaches we found off the beaten path! This was our first experience in the Fort Walton beach area, and we were more than pleasantly surprised. David Jenn was so patient with all my questions about the condo and area and made the vacation planning process easy and reassuring. We were worried about keeping busy but with the access to multiple pools, lazy river and walkway to the beach and restaurants it was just what we all needed for an unforgettable family vacation. The Gulfarium with animal encounters was awesome for kids! The condo is stunning being very spacious, tastefully decorated, spotless and a view that cannot be described from the master bedroom and deck area that we spent many hours on. Our 3 granddaughters loved having breakfast and snacks while watching the boats and activity around the condo area. We did see dolphins one evening which was so neat ! We will be back !

We really enjoyed this condo! It was a beautiful location and the condo was great! We saw dolphins right off our balcony in the bay the day we got there! We went for Thanksgiving so the weather was cold the first couple of days we were there so the heated pool and hot tubs were great! The condo was beautifully furnished and it was huge. We had 7 people in our party and there was plenty of space for everyone! We will definitely be staying here again!

This property was beautiful and owns up to it's name as the "Crown Jewel" of Destin. My family of 8 had plenty of room without feeling crowded. With all of the pools, the lazy river, splash pad, bay, and beach, there was never a dull moment. The condo itself is fantastic. Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable furniture and beds. We definitely felt as if we were vacationing in someone's home, not a sterile vacation unit. Appliances and cooking utensils were plentiful. The balcony and view were breathtaking and unbeatable! My grandchildren loved watching the boat activity in the bay, the fish, and the birds, and the HUGE balcony provided more than enough room for everyone to relax while the children had room to play. Having pontoon and jet ski rentals next door was also a big plus. Renting a pontoon and spending the day on crab island was one of the highlights of our trip. Seriously, I can't imagine a better vacation rental. The owner is very responsive, answers emails quickly, and returned our security deposit right away. Looking forward to a return visit at this property!

The photos for this condo do not do it justice and the photos alone are amazing. This place was fabulous! There was nothing to need because everything was included in this place, both inside and outside. Our travels included 3 very different families (from toddlers, to teens, to seniors and in between) and everyone was extremely satisfied with our accommodations. We stayed on the grounds of Destin West during the day because there was more than enough to keep us busy and went out to dinner at night to places the owner recommended(Each were equally wonderful!). This was by far the nicest place I have stayed in 15 years of traveling! I would definitely stay here again and if I vacation else where, I can only hope that David Jenn has a property available to rent to me! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this rental.

The view from the balcony is outstanding and so relaxing to be able to view the bayside along with the lazy river. The Condo is very large and my entire family was very comfortable. We could not be any happier with the condo Heron 603. It was so nicely furnished! The views of the bay were so beautiful. We sat out on the patio and relaxed watching stingrays and dolphin. Everything we needed was there. The pools and lazy river were awesome. We wanted to roll the condo up and bring it home. This is definitely the condo t9 stay 8n when in Destin , Fort Walton Beach area .

We haven't even stayed in this condo yet but I had to go ahead and give the owners a 5 Star rating on customer service alone! I have been planning vacations for over 15 years for my family and 2 others that vacation together yearly and never have I dealt with condo owners as great as David-Jenn. I have emailed them many times with my numerous questions and requests and they promptly & pleasantly provide me with answer. This has been the easiest vacation I have ever booked. Usually by the time the week of our vacation arrives, I am so stressed out that I can't even enjoy it. This has definitely been a different experience and I am very excited for this upcoming stay! Check back in June as I can't wait to review the condo itself. It looks like paradise!

This condo is absolutely gorgeous. We had so much room, we could all be in the condo at the same time and never feel crowded. The balcony is where my husband and I spent most of our time. It is huge! We saw Dolphins and stingrays almost every morning. Our kids enjoyed renting jet skis from Fudpucker's next door. We could watch them ride them from our balcony as well. The kitchen had everything we needed to fix big breakfasts in the morning to grilling the fresh catch our boys brought home in the evenings. We used the grills by the pool, which were both very clean and conveniently located to this unit. We were at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort for a week, we wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back and Heron 603 is the only place we will stay. Simply wonderful!
