If you visit Destin and the surrounding areas and don’t pay a visit to The Donut Hole, you are missing out!

The Donut Hole has been serving up scratch-made donuts, pastries, cakes, and hearty breakfast plates to Emerald Coast locals and visitors for years.

More often than not, the line for donuts extends out the front door and into the parking lot. Here’s a tip- most people are just waiting to grab a donut (or 12) and be on their way. If you are wanting to get a table and stay for breakfast, you can bypass the donut line.

I like to treat the kids to a special breakfast at Donut Hole from time to time, but if we’re not there by 7:30, we just might not get a seat.

The Donut Hole is the closest thing Destin has to a classic diner. The menu is no frills or fuss, just good, honest home-style food that pleases the tiniest tots to the most particular snow birds.
The menu is full of all the breakfast classics like omelettes, pancakes, and benedicts, but there is also a rotating list of specials to choose from.

Mac’s favorite is the chocolate glazed donut. Who can blame the guy?

If I’m going to splurge on a donut you can bet it’s a red velvet, key lime, or my personal favorite; the cream-filled vanilla angel. Trust me. You’ve gotta try one!
I tend to skip the sweets at breakfast and go for a hearty, savory plate like the huevos rancheros.

That portion might look big, but it’s nothing compared to the famous “Diet Plate,” which is a plate of biscuits topped with sausage patties, cheese and fried eggs, all smothered in gravy and served with hash browns. Nothing diet about that!
Though it’s not likely, if you still happen to be hungry after a breakfast like that, check out the fresh-baked cakes, pies and breads on your way out the door.

The Donut Hole is a feel-good place that you must visit at least once during your vacation. The original location is in the heart of Destin near the harbor. There are also two locations in South Walton if you are staying on 30A.
