GULFARIUM MARINE PARK
A totally unique wildlife adventure! Teachers and students are invited to join one of Gulfarium’s educators and dive into an incredible educational experience! Programs are specially designed to be age-specific and engaging for all levels of students. Focusing on marine animal education and conservation, students will thrive in this hands-on program ranging from tide pool sea creatures to deep water mammals. HERITAGE PARK & CULTURAL CENTER
Heritage Park & Cultural Center is an amazing, preserved community of historic sites and museum archaeology. Located in the center of downtown Fort Walton Beach makes it really easy to get to.
Explore the Native American’s ceremonial Temple Mound that was the core of the most advanced Gulf Coast civilizations (A.D. 900 – 1500). Also used by Confederate soldiers as Camp Walton in 1861 to guard Santa Rosa Sound and Choctawhatchee Bay. The Indian Temple Mound Museum is located beside the Temple Mound. This museum contains over 6,000 Indian and historic artifacts depicting 12,000 years of Native American occupation. Exhibits also include artifacts from European Explorers, local pirates, and early settlers. This museum is handicapped accessible.
The Heritage Park & Cultural Center offers Educational Programming and Field Trips for students. Let history come to life with hands-on learning experiences. The Center provides group tours and rates as well as teacher lesson plans to complement your visit.

EMERALD COAST SCIENCE CENTER
Just West of Fort Walton Beach, the science center showcases numerous exhibits, hands-on demonstrations featuring robotics, a hurricane simulator, natural gas, live animals and so much more! Specializing in learning opportunities for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Visiting Home-School Students are welcome to drop into the Science Center’s ‘Home School Academy’ held on the last Tuesday of each month for $30 per session. The Home School sessions include hands-on experiments utilizing critical thinking and the focusing on scientific processes. All lessons are based on Florida State Science Standards. This is a fantastic educational opportunity to engage your child’s curiosity, instill a love of science with run hands-on lessons.

NAVARRE BEACH SEA TURTLE CONSERVATION CENTER
The Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center works hard to save threatened and endangered sea turtles through conservation education. The Center is Gigi the sea turtle’s home. Gigi is a loggerhead turtle who lost her vision and cannot be returned to the wild. Inside the conservation, center guests learn about sea turtles and conservation education first-hand through various displays, interactive exhibits, and aquariums featuring Gulf of Mexico inhabitants.
Admission is $5, $4 for military and seniors (+65), and Lil’ hatchlings two and under are free!
